Job Description: Admit Clerk is responsible for the performance of various duties that are intended to result in proper payments to the hospital for services provided to patients.

Outpatient Scheduler

Job Description: The Scheduling Clerk is responsible for all duties in scheduling outpatient appointments and coordinating testing with the various departments.

HUMAN RESOURCES

Recruitment Coordinator

• Full-Time | 80 hrs/pp

Job Description: The Recruiting Coordinator will partner with CEO, Marketing, and Human Resources to anticipate and meet the evolving recruitment needs of the organization and assist in delivering highly talented and motivated team members to the organization.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Business or related field required. Bachelor degree in business or related field preferred. 

Employment Coordinator

• Full-Time | 80 hrs/pp | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Job Description: The Human Resources Employment Coordinator provides skilled, creative secretarial assistance to the Human Resources department. Maintain favorable and effective relations/communication between applicants/Southwest Medical Center Administrative Staff. Assist in seeing that the hiring process is consistent with Southwest Medical Center’s commitment as an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge in word processing computers and 10 key operation. Must be able to tolerate the physical and emotional stress associated with the position.

FOOD AND NUTRITION (DIETARY)

Cook

Job Description: The Cook is to prepare all food in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations established in policies and procedures as directed or instructed to ensure quality is provided at all time.

Dietary Aide

Job Description: The Dietary Aide is to provide assistance in all food and nutrition functions under supervision directed or instructed in accordance with established policies and procedures

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to serve and prepare all food in accordance with current standards to ensure quality. 

Dietician *

• Full-Time | 80 hrs/pp | Plus Weekends

Job Description: The Dietitian supervises the nutritional aspects of patient care, including the assessment of nutritional status and recommendation of appropriate diet therapy. When necessary, the dietitian counsels in-patients and out-patients on appropriate nutrition intervention principles.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors in Dietetics or Nutrition supplemented by an internship or other training to meet the registration requirements of the American Dietetic Association. Master Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition preferred. Registration with the commissions of Dietetic Registration of American Dietetic Association. Licensed by the state of Kansas.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

Environmental Services Tech

• Full-Time | 80 hrs/pp | Varied Shifts | Plus Weekends

• PRN | 8 hrs/pp | Varied Shifts | Plus Weekends

Job Description: The Housekeeper/17/Floors performs cleaning tasks in an assigned area of the medical center to provide a sanitary, orderly, and attractive hospital environment. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept in the hospital and reflects Southwest Medical Center’s mission and philosophy.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Floor experience preferred, but not required. Housekeeping experience helpful, but not required.

PLANT OPERATIONS

Plant Ops Painter

• Full-Time | 80 hrs/pp

Job Description: General maintenance work throughout the hospital/clinics to maintain equipment in good condition for safe and effective patient care.

Requirements: Must have High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the building or maintenance trades.

Plant Ops Tech

• Full-Time | 80 hrs/pp | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Job Description: The Maintenance Technician I does general maintenance work throughout the hospital/clinics to maintain equipment in good condition for safe and effective patient care in accordance with current applicable federal, State, local requirements, and the Joint Commission, as directed by the Director of Plant Operations, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Requirements: High school graduate. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the building or maintenance trades. A/C Service Skills Required. Must possess effective communication skills. Ability to work in cramped spaces. Subject to frequent interruptions. Ability to work in all areas of the facility. Must be able to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional stress of the position.

MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

Receiving Tech

• Full-Time | 72 hrs/pp | Plus Weekends

Job Description: To maintain adequate levels of patient ready supplies within all aspects of the operating room area. Interacts with all members of the Clinical staff, all employees, and visitors.

Requirements: High school diploma.
