2005 National Nurse Anesthetists Week
January 24-28

Bonnie and Tim are SWMC’s Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA’s). As CRNA’s, they are responsible for providing anesthesia care to patients. In doing this, their number one priority is always patient safety. A CRNA is a Registered Nurse who has graduated from an accredited graduate school of nurse anesthesia and passed a national certification examination. It is one of the highest levels of advancement for a Registered Nurse. CRNA’s can work independently or they collaborate with an anesthesiologist.

One interesting fact about CRNA’s is that in more than 65% of rural hospital in America, the sole anesthesia provider is a CRNA. SWMC is very fortunate to have two that compliment Dr. Roman Pohorecki. Bonnie & Tim take great pride and diligence in their work. The end result is excellent patient care.
