Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Seward County was held at the LHS Track on Friday June 25, 2004 Twelve teams participed in the event. Even though the financial goal wasn't reached, the teams did manage to raise $25,000 towards research and patient advocacy. A Relay King and Queen were crowned to lead the "Mardi Gras" parade and 44 cancer survivors participated. A "Queen of Relay" contest was held, and our own Mike Bailey was crowned the "most glamourous". (Ask him to see pictures!) A good time was had by all and the rain waited until we were finished Saturday morning!
