Board of Trustees Honors Auxiliary

The SWMC Auxiliary was honored by the Board of trustees on Tuesday, October 14 at the Auxiliary Annual Autumn breakfast.

A Resolution from the Board of Trustees was read by Bob Houck, VP, Allied Services and then presented to Mary Wakefield of the Auxiliary.

The Resolution stated "The Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary has, for the past thirty-eight years, been an integral part of this facility; and the Board of trustees recognizes the excellent and dedicated service that the Auxiliary has rendered to the patients, employees and medical staff at the hospital." The resolution goes on to read, "The Board of trustees, on behalf of the entire staff, acknowledges the dedicated service the Auxilians have given to this facility since August 17, 1964, and extends a unanimous vote of thanks and appreciation."

A copy of the Resolution will be on display in the Snack bar by the end of next week so that everyone can read it in it entirity.

The Auxiliary Autumn Breakfast also featured Safety officer jerry Odle speaking on safety Measures. Mr. Odle dressed up as a "german scientist" and spoke a little about "dark suckers" i.e. light bulbs.

Mr. Odle also noted how the Auxilians play an important role in the hospital, especially during drills and emergency situations.
