Follow The Yellow Brick Road To Success

The Kansas State Dietary Managers Association Fall Workshop was hosted by Southwest Medical Center, Ben E. Keith and the DMA West District on October 16, 17 and 18.

DMA Members from all over the state of Kansas attended the Annual Fall Workshop, the theme this year was "Follow The Yellow Brick Road To Success".

The Workshop included seminars on Stress Management, Renal Diets, Ergonomics, Budget and Human Resources to name a few. Bob Sager, M.D., Vicki Clark, RD/LD, Bob Houck, VP Allied Services and Lisa Mathes, Human Resources were among those who led seminars during the Workshop.

Dr. Sager's seminar 'Stress Management for the New Millennium', focused on Stress Management and how it relates to the Dietary Industry, Nutrition and function, how stress can damage the human body and some ways of dealing with and treating stress.

Lisa Mathes discussed interview and hiring practices in relation to Dietary/Food and Nutrition Departments.

This was the first time the Kansas State DMA has met in Liberal. Approximately 70 DMA members from all over Kansas attended the 3 day workshop held at the Gateway Inn.
