Job Description: The Vice President of Patient Care Services under the direction of the CEO is responsible for the management, direction and supervision all nursing service, anesthesia, social services, education, home care, health information services, radiology, laboratory, dialysis, employee health, infection control and quality improvement functions and activities. Responsible for the quality of patient cares and ensures that sufficient and properly qualified personnel carry out their functions appropriately. Is knowledgeable of social, economical and legal issues effecting the health care systems and seeks all opportunities for keeping staff up to date in health care practices. Develops, presents and directs the implementation, and insures compliance of standards of nursing practice.  Requirements: Current license in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse. Job Description: This individual will circulate in orthopedic, OB/GYN, General Surgery, and Urology cases. Typically, surgery days are Monday through Friday 7:30 am 3:30 pm. Call for this position is 1 day per week and every 5th weekend. Experience in orthopedic surgery is required and experience in general, urology, plastic, GI endoscopy, and GYN which includes C-sections is greatly appreciated.

Minimum of 2-4 years working with the public preferred, minimum 2 years’ experience in hospital, physician’s clinic office preferred. Medical terminology and knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-10 codes preferred. Able to handle multiple money transactions. Knowledge of computer software and hardware preferred. Typing 30 WPM or greater, bookkeeping, 10 key, experience required. Must be computer literate and proficient with patient scheduling software. Must have friendly and helpful attitude, must be detailed oriented.
