Student Technologist

Job Description: The Diagnostic Imaging Student Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation to achieve diagnostically adequate radiographs. Also acts as the patients advocate while promoting teamwork with physicians and other personnel. Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Current enrollment in an JCERT approved program with completion of at least 18 months of the program. CPR Certified.

Ultrasound Technologist

FT• 80 hrs/pp • 9:00 am – 5:30 pm  • Varied Shift • Weekends • On Call

Job Description: The US(Ultrasound) Technologist performs US procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply ultra sonic sound waves to achieve diagnostically adequate US examinations. Also acts as the patients advocate while promoting teamwork with physicians and other personnel. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is a logical assignment to the position.  Requirements: Graduate of JCERT approved program and/or Ultrasound accredited program. Certified in Vascular Sonography by the ARDMS.

Laboratory

Lab Director

FT • 80 hrs/pp • Plus Weekends • On Call • Varied Shifts

Job Description: Duties and responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager include, but are not limited to, initiating, planning, and establishing policies and procedures for the Laboratory Department through constant appraisal, effective improvements, and operational evaluations. Maintains and updates standards, policies and procedures set forth by JCAHO and College of American Pathologists.  Requirements: Bachelor Degree from a regionally accredited college/university and successful completion of a CAHEA accredited Medical Technology Program or equivalent.  Minimum of five (5) years of laboratory experience with at least two (2) years of hospital supervisory experience.

MLS/MT/MLT

FT • 80 hrs/pp • Plus Weekends • (Four Positions Available)

Job Description: Duties and responsibilities of the MT/MLT include but are not limited to performing various chemical, microscopic, microbiologic, and immunological tests pertaining to patient care and diagnosis. Maintains accurate and orderly records and work sheets according to established departmental policy and protocol.  Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. MT/MLT certification from ASCP or AMT required. MLT/MT experience preferred.

Phlebotomist

FT • 80 hrs/pp • Varied Shift • Plus Weekends • (Two Positions Available)

Job Description: The duties and responsibilities of the phlebotomist include, but not limited to the assessing and reassessing of patients prior to and following the collection of blood and body fluid. Collection practices and techniques are directed by established departmental policies and procedures.  Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, Certified Phlebotomist preferred. Preferred six (6) months of previous experience in phlebotomy, but not required. Ability to withstand stressful situations both physically and emotionally will be required.

Pharmacy

Pharmacy Tech

Full Time • 80 hrs/pp • 7:00 am – 6:00 pm • Weekends •  (Two Positions Available)

Job Description: The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in the daily duties of providing pharmaceutical needs for patients:  drug acquisition, drug preparation and distribution through the IV Admixture, Unit Dose and Omnicell systems. Pharmacy technicians are supervised by the pharmacist as defined by Kansas Pharmacy Law.  Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent with knowledge of math, grammar, medical technology required.  C.N.A., C.M.A., or MA training and certifications helpful.  Registration as a pharmacy technician with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy; national Pharmacy technician Certification.  More information available upon request.

Staff Pharmacist

Full Time • 80 hrs/pp • 7:00 am – 4:00 pm • Weekends • On Call • Varied

Job Description: The Staff/Clinical Pharmacist provides for inpatient pharmaceutical needs according to physician orders and in conformance with established standards, polices and procedures, and state and federal laws. Performs the day-to-day professional operations of the department which includes drug acquisition, distribution, monitoring, identifying, resolving and preventing drug-related problems that may affect optimal patient care outcomes and to research and communicate medication information to our medical and nursing staff members as well as to all ancillary services. Primary duties include: maintenance of the patient profile in Meditech in response to physician orders (electronic and/or written); distribution of medications through the IV admixture program, unit dose program and Omnicell system; monitoring of patient allergies and adverse reactions to medications; monitoring patient response to drug therapy and management of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee approved drug protocols, pharmacist managed dosing protocols and therapeutic drug substitution. The pharmacist is responsible for supervision of pharmacy technicians as defined by Kansas Pharmacy Law. Additional duties may include drug utilization review and quality improvement initiatives.  Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school of Pharmacy. Current license to practice Pharmacy from the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy. Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.

Respiratory Therapy

Registered Respiratory Therapist

Full Time • On Call • Plus Weekends (Three Positions Available)

Job Description: The primary purpose of your job position is to assess, perform, and evaluation of modalities of Respiratory Therapist in patient care.  Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program. Current RRT Licensure through the National Board of Respiratory Care. CPR required date of hire. PALS and ACLS and NRP Required after 6 months.
